South Korean automaker Kia has launched a new manufacturing plant in the city of Kustanai, Kazakhstan. The project has garnered an investment of approximately $300 million (around 23.1 billion rubles). The facility is equipped with a full production cycle, including welding and painting of vehicle bodies.
Initially, the factory will produce models such as Kia Sorento and Sportage. In the future, it plans to manufacture Soluto, K5, K8, Seltos, and Carnival models.
Currently, there is no official information about supplying these vehicles to Russia.
