Bentley Unveils First Electric Vehicle Torcal on September 23

British luxury automaker Bentley has officially confirmed the premiere of its first fully electric vehicle, named the Torcal, on September 23 in London.

The model takes its name from the El Torcal de Antequera natural park in Spain, with a nod to the Latin word torque meaning twisting moment. The Torcal will become the fourth model in Bentley’s modern lineup, following the Bentayga, Bacalar, and Batur. Prior to its official reveal, the prototype underwent testing in the Arctic Circle and at the Nürburgring. Early details suggest a fastback silhouette with a sloping roof, an interior trimmed in red leather and black Alcantara, a large curved display, and the retention of mechanical controls.

According to the company, the electric car will set new benchmarks for the brand while maintaining its core values—luxurious handcraftsmanship, comfort, and high performance—honed over more than a century.
